This remarkable little trip explores the gorgeous east coast headlands and beaches of Northland. Grab a group of four people or more and enjoy remote coastal hiking near the Bay of Islands, open coast kayaking at Whangaroa and driving to Cape Reinga right at the top.
Enjoy utter isolation at the apex of New Zealand where you can hike in the surreal dune-scapes of Cape Maria Van Diemen. The southward journey takes you west to the ancient and mighty Kauri forests.
Shorter and easier than our other Kiwi-style Hiking Tours, the Coastal Wanderer has plenty of swimming and snorkelling in secret coves of clear water, one full day hike and lots of short hikes.
It is also a bit warmer in the ‘winterless north’.
This is a sample itinerary of what we can offer for custom groups. If you have the group of four or more we can craft a trip that suits you.
