Abel Tasman 3 Day Hike

What a brilliant three days. Organisation was exceptional, accommodation and food top class. Our guide Sarah was so well informed and clearly passionate about the environment. Steady pace with plenty of breaks for photos, snacks and drinks. Group size was ideal (12 hiking) with the chance to chat with the kayakers over dinner. A fascinating family story too.

From start to finish - this trip was first class. Paddy our guide was a fountain of knowledge and timed our walk perfectly giving us spots to eat and rest while taking in the incredible scenery. Rain on the first day made little difference to our enjoyment as we all had a hot shower, great food and a comfy bed at the end of the day. The lodge staff and other guides are great and we met some awesome fellow walkers from around the world. We didn't try the kayaking - would definitely give this a go next time as the couple that did this raved about it. 10/10 from me.

Our experience was top notch in every respect. We did a three day trip. The guides picked us up at hour hotel in Nelson, put us on one of their boats, which dropped us off at the start of the first day's hike. We kayaked the next two days. The two lodges we stayed at were beyond fabulous, from the food to the proprietors. The two guides on our trip were excellent. Just a spectacular 3 days in Abel Tasman

We had such a great time on the three day guided track and kayaking experience. The guides were outstanding, the scenery serene, the lodges were nice, food good. We met great people in the group. Best experience! Highly recommend

My husband and I had a fantastic time on our 3 day kayak/hike trip in Abel Tasman. Our guide, Rod, was awesome! He was very knowledgeable, professional, and also great fun! The lodges were great and meals were delicious.

We met a big group going southbound and we observed that the company was very accommodating with everyone's abilities. The group was split up into those who wanted to try a bit of kayaking, to those who only wanted to hike (and that group was also divided into long vs short hiking too). A couple was not interested in walking that day and they were able to catch the boat to take them to the next lodge.

This 3 day trip was definitely the highlight of our month-long trip to New Zealand. We highly recommend, and hope you get Rod as your guide!

My husband, teen daughter and I recently completed the 3 day walk. This was the 1st time we have done a multiday trip like this and it was seamless from reservation, pick-up, boat ride, hike, lodge stays and delivery after completion! This company has a really lovely vibe, is family owned and has history in the area. We booked a walk w/ kayak trip for flexibility but ended up walking the entire route by our own choice because of a weather system and the desire to complete the walk! The logistics were spot on, we had a couple people who needed to change course or catch a boat ride out because of physical ailments, it wasn't a problem. We felt well cared for and the lodges, meals, all the details really, were above expectations. It was a memorable experience and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend!

This was a 3 day walk staying in the luxury lodges. They certainly were luxury lodges and the food was scrumptious. Breakfast (cooked was an option), packed lunch and 3 course dinner

What a beautiful location! We had the pleasure of hiking in and around Abel Tasman for a few days. I highly recommend the hike that takes 3 days. Our guide, Alex, was full of energy. She did a great job teaching us about the area and letting us explore. It is one of the most beautiful areas that we visited on the South Island. The beaches are pristine and you can swim if you’d like, it was cold when we were there. The lodges are welcoming and clean. The food was really good. It was great that there were also so hikers from New Zealand on our trip. I would recommend this trip and hike to anyone!

The whole three day walk with transfer transport, accommodation and food was excellent and was superbly organised by the company. Pre-visit planning was clear and accurate and we were so lucky with the weather as well - largely warm sunshine, blue skies and a cooling breeze when required. The boat trip to the start of our walk was a great way to see the coastline for the first time and after disembarking we were able to complete the first part of the trail in a small group led by Erwin who was, throughout the trip, interesting and knowledgeable as well as being very personable. We stayed at two lodges, ate hearty and tasty meals and enjoyed the days walking through the forest with regular glimpses of the sea and visits to largely crowd free beaches. Overall this was a super walk, in good company and within a wonderful environment.

From the very first moment this was such a worthwhile and well organised 3 days. From the pick up from our hotel, the sorting of necessary stuff, the picnic all ready for us the transfer to the park all was slick and efficient. We had lovely weather which helped of course but the organisation was such that we just relaxed and had a great time. Superb food, every meal. Great rooms and wonderful wonderful staff. Well done to everyone! A real highlight of our trip!!

We completed the 3 day walk of the Able Tasman National Park. Can't recommend it highly enough. The hiking company were very organized and very friendly and knowledgeable. The accommodation was a good standard. The walk was fantastic. DOC maintain the track to an excellent standard. We walked with day packs and our overnight bags were transported each day to the next nights accommodation. Would highly recommend.

We went on the 3 day kayak and walk tour. We actually tried to book the 5 day for but it was unfortunately booked for that week. The tour was very well organised from the beginning to the end. The guides were very helpful, informative and made you feel very safe. This was our very first kayaking experience and it's gonna be impossible to top it. The lodges were clean, comfortable and charming. The meals were excellent. Certainly would say a superb value for money. We are already thinking of going back to NZ and to include Wilson's 5 day adventure. This is exactly how a comfortable adventure should be!
