Following the New Zealand earthquakes in North Canterbury, we would like to reassure families and friends back home that everyone on our trips are fine.

Thank you very much to everyone who has been in touch to check out how we are doing. We appreciate all the messages of concern and just want to say that we are all okay and we are not expecting this latest earthquake to cause any major disruption to any of our tours. The damage caused by the earthquakes is very localised to Kaikoura and neighbouring rural areas.

All airports, hotels and visitor attractions are operating as usual apart from Kaikoura. Hanmer Springs Thermal Pools and Spa are open as it the road from Christchurch to Hanmer Springs. Building checks are taking place in Wellington city as a precaution so people are being advised to stay out of the CBD for the next couple of days. The roads into Kaikoura are closed as are many in rural North Canterbury.

Our thoughts are with those who have been affected by this event.
