This summer season's photo competition is in full swing...a month ago we announced our first monthly winner (NZ$100 Amazon voucher), Carolin Wiedig, who submitted a picture of three women milking goats in the Mongolian Altai Mountains. She joined our Active Earth Adventures trip to Mongolia back in June.

Congratulations again, Carolin!

It wasn't easy for us in the office to choose the winner as everyone who submitted pictures captured fantastic moments.

Eleanor Eatson, for instance, has been on our first Ultimate New Zealand in November 2015. Together with our guides Justin, Scott & Chai they have opened the season with 10 fellow adventurers. The image below shows the magnificent thermal wonderland in Rotorua.

Another original picture credited to Eleanor is the "stairway to heaven".

Glenda, who is a running enthusiast from the States, joined "running wild" adventure through Active Earth Adventures and listened to our advice to take her camera. We all know how difficult it is to take great pictures on the run, so here it is: the group enjoying a little break.

No photo competition is a real photo competition without a breathtaking sunset picture. Oliver Foster, who was on the South Island Adventure, delivered us with a moody sunset at Mount Cook.

We are all looking forward to more submissions and want to thank everyone who participated so far! Good on you! The pictures are just incredible!
